Having previously promised that Oculus Technologies would be growing not only in products but also in people, it is with great pleasure that we welcome two new employees to the Oculus Team.

To remain true to what we initially set out to achieve and to continue to deliver the very best onboard experiences to all of our clients, it is key that we expand the team with people who are highly experienced and skilled in their work but also share our drive, mindset and team approach. Both Ivo and Astrid fit the bill on all of these aspects and we are delighted to welcome them to the team” Peter Aarts, CEO, Oculus Technologies.
Taking on the role as the company’s Art Director, Dutch born Ivo Nupoort (37) is the creative hand set to graphically manage the product portfolio. Responsible for the conception and overall look and feel of all 3D modelling, his creativity and expertise in realising the visual experience of the entire product range forms a major part of the company’s continued development. He is a valuable and creative addition to the Oculus Team bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the fields of web and graphic design, 2D and 3D visualisation and illustration, storyboarding and artistic concepts. He joins the team on a full time basis having previously worked as a freelancer for the company meaning he not only strengthens the team with his diverse and entirely creative skill set but also with his existing knowledge and experience of Oculus Technologies and their entire product range.
Astrid van Bekkum (44) also joins the team as Oculus Technologies’ new Commercial Office Manager. As the company continues to develop and expand, the need for smooth and efficient operational processes remain a key focus in terms of maintaining the highest quality customer experience. Astrid’s integral role to the overall and day to day running of the company includes forming the all important internal bridge between the company’s front and back end operations whilst still managing everything regarding the office. From a commercial perspective, Astrid will also be involved with the sales team forming the initial point of contact for all customers and taking on responsibility for the project management of YachtEye™. She joins Oculus Technologies from her previous position as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of Rabo Equity Advisors. Her outstanding organisation ability in combination with her people management and communication skills make Astrid the ideal addition to the team.
